Monday... a walk in the park...
OK.... not a park... but still a walk... I did it... I walked after work..1 hour and 7 minutes ( I stopped to talk a minute or two or 5 or so and so I tacked 7 extra on)... Oh yeah and I listened to... get this now... Alan Jackson singing "How Great Thou Art" and then Joe Nichols... "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off"... What kinda mix is that to end with?!
Got my NANO... gotta get my Nike+ now!

Lucky 7!!!
OK .. maybe not Lucky... but done!:) Made it! I was not fast and will not be like some of you...posting my time! (Congrats to all of you dedicated fast ones!) Perhaps I will be the token... "Last one" someone has to be last... and I just want to finish! I will be the leaning man... the waubling one.... but I will be there and I will finish.
The weather was great! It was my first time at the rez too and I like it there. I got there and started a little early. That makes me feel better... that way there are still people there when I get there!
Thanks for all the smiles and encouraging words!
Marathon on!

Movie Marathoners!
OK... We are not JUST Marathoners now.... WE are Movie Marathoners....
WOW
Yesterday the weather was great... the walk was great... I wasn't sure about it at first. I was feeling a bit shakey... did not want to venture off too far... hung close to the HP til the last minute... and then went ahead an struck off. Actually made it pretty good. I did cut the lake loop, but I did at least make most of it. Hopefully my tummy will be better next week.
Still gotta push more.
See you later...

Tuesday
Clothes out... alarm turned off.... two for two.... I DID go to the HP after work though and went 37 min... Ok... I know it is not good... but it is something and tomorrow will be even better!
Oh yeah... my sister- in- law ran a marathon in Jackson, TN this past Saturday. She qualified for the Boston! She got 3 hours and 32 min! I can not even imagine! It was storming there until right at starting time... and it cleared up. She ran the Atlanta a few weeks ago and missed qualifying by just a few minutes. That course was hilly and she did not think she had a chance at her qualifying time. She was really surprised that even with the hills she came that close. Since she was so close and her timing was on, she went ahead and ran the one in Jackson!
I of course knew that she was a marathoner already, but it is amazing how many people you come in contact with who have the "marathon bug"!

Sunday... Sunday....
Wow, what a beautiful day! Sounds like all of you early morning guys had fun yesterday, but not as much as the "Run from the Sun"ers.... I haven't read anything from any of you who were going to run the "Susan" yesterday morning. Did it happen?
Linda and I gave the ACT in Raymond. Just as all were entering my room, it got completely dark and hail was hitting the window. We had a weather radio in another room and had a plan in case we had to stop the test and hide from the weather. It passed on in about 15 just as my group was ready to start the test.
I had "mapped out" a 5 mile route here in Raymond from my house, so Linda and I did that after we finished. I like a couple of others out that have REALLY got to get super serious about this! The 5 miles was hard for me. I sure am glad I told so many people I was doing this.... AND I already signed up for the Chicago... I am afraid I might not be so willing... I do not want to be doing 1 mile each hour in Chicago! My feet were soooo heavy by the end (and my feet are not that big!)
I DID go to the HP in Clinton and did water exercises for 45 min. This week I WILL lay out my clothes and follow through with early am exercise BEFORE work. I am telling you this so you will have to ask me.... and I will have to say to you that I have not if in deed I do not! SO ............... therefore...... I must,.... I was thinking how hard and hot it will be in June and July if I do not get in super gear right now.
I missed all on Saturday morning and it sounds like the run Sat eve and the Mex resteraunt was great too! My sister and her family came in to town yesterday, so I did not try to go to Jackson, but stayed to visit with them. It did feel good to get the 5 mile in with Linda. I am so glad she agreed to do this with me!
Thanks to all for you support. I love reading all the blogs.....
See you this week on Sat ... or maybe at the HP! :)

I want to be trained....
I am reminding myself, because I need to. Robin's post was RIGHT ON! WHY did I sign up to do this??!!! Did I really think I would wake up the next day and be thin AND fit AND ready to run a marathon in under four hours? PPPUUUULEASE! It is time to do my part in this seriously.
I Believe in Miracles..... I know that I CAN do this... but if I do... it will be a miracle... but that's ok, because I believe in miracles.
"No DISCIPLINE seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."

April ~ Don't be a fool! :)
I really do not know why I am in such a slump! I have really got to pull myself up and out! I seem to keep getting negative "energy" and just sucking it up! That is really not like me. I feel more overwhelmed right now than I did before. I want to be pogressing more. I hate being a slug. What is it with me anyway.
Next topic. It sure is hard to make that second round on the levee... The BRIGHT side of that is that since everyone has to turn around three times... we do get to see each others faces more. I would like to thank everyone that was so encouraging on Saturday. I really need the positive energy and there is always plenty to spread around at MM! The speakers were all great!. I am still getting the image of Mark running in HEELS! I am trying to use that one along with Jesus in SANDALS walking everywhere to keep me going on two different levels. More than that though when a super red faced puffing fellow marathoner tells you that you are doing great or almost there, or keep it up and even gets a smile out.... there is a special connection.
Thanks to everyone
