I Believe in Miracles..... I know that I CAN do this... but if I do... it will be a miracle... but that's ok, because I believe in miracles.

Hey FORREST..... I took a baby step!
I went to the HP to watch the girls bball campers. I took my "running" shoes. I watched my best friend's daughter play. Her mom left. I stayed and meandered over to the treadmill and said "Self.... HERE is a STARTING place." It is airconditioned. You can watch and CONTROL the speed. I know it is not quite like being on the great outdoors roads, BUT IT IS A START! Just do 20 minutes and do some different intervals. 5 walk ~ 1 run...... come on.... you can always slow back down. Well.... I did not jog/wog much..... but I did some. I did several walk 3 run 1, then even a run 2! Ended up hanging in for 45 min! Better than nothin'! It is a start! OH YEAH... I remembered to breathe too! That's the other thing about me and running.... I hold my breath! I always have! I ran track in high school. My coach was afraid to let me run more than 100 yd dash. He always stood on the side lines yelling for me to BREATHE! All the other coaches yelled "Run.... RUN!"
Well..... guess I'll shower and call it a day!
I am a marathoner!
:)
Oneta's got me thinking....
Mark says it's between the ears..... Oneta's RUNNIN'!...... The "ORIGINAL" Lisa B. Davis doesn't want to be a "TURTLE" any more! What's a girl to do??!!! Lost somewhere between listening to your body and don't injure yourself..... and come on!!!! Really You know you can "Kick it up a notch"..... Don't want to get the "BAM" though! Slow and steady (may not win the race) ... but I do want to finish the race..... Remember.... keep your eye on the goal.... the goal for me has been to finish.... come on self...... DAVIS REALLY NOW!!!!! You know you are NOT pushing yourself as much as you could!!!
Enough already.... What IS a girl to do?

Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding (regular works too.... I use Great Value or Jello-brand... don't like any of the others I have tried)
Fat Free milk (as box directs)
Fat free sour cream
Fat free cream cheese
Lite whipped topping (great value works for me)
Bananas
Sugar Free Vanilla wafers (muray is the only brand I've found) ( Wal-Mart has them)
Mix it up. Fold in cookies and bananas. Add a layer of whipped topping on top. I put the cookies around the edge of the bowl and a few "atop" for decoration. Springle cookie crumbs (powderery) over the top and it looks like baked merangue!
ENJOY!
I have an idea.... I think it would be great to have a MM Cook book!

WOW.... long time NO POST!.....
I have really let the time slip up on me! Whew... can't believe it has been so long since I blogged! Summer school 1st session, face 2 face is in third week which means we have passed the mid-term mark! I am teaching two classes. One is a combination of two levels so the students have different books, and tests. Really it is 3 preps! Last week had a major fundraiser at Hinds "8th Ultimate Game Dinner". I am on the committee. It is always hectic the few weeks prior to that. I am also teaching online. It will go for June and July, but goes twice as fast as "regular" semester. This means TONS of emails and online grading!!!!! It is nice in July not to have to go meet class, but I do spend many hours corresponding with students when time is so short!
I have slacked a bit on my training the last 2 weeks! I confess! That probably is part of the reason I haven't been blogging! Gotta REALLY get back with it!
I am staying with my niece this week out in Brandon (off Baker for those of you who know the area) while"the parents" are out of town! I will get out there and do my walking this week and have no excuse for xt since they have a pool!
Linda had an "oops" this week at work and twisted her knee. She stepped wrong just a bit. She has been to the docs and xrayed it. Looks like will be ok, but she has to be off of it for now. She goes back tomorrow I think to check progress! Another friend (not in MM) came with me Sat. She wants to do it next year! She has been walking the last few weeks. It was great to have her there with me. She did great.... but says she was really sore! THANKS GAIL! I does help when you have supportive friends and family! My MARATHON Sister-in-law called Friday to check my progress and encourage me! She is the one who qualified for the Boston for next yr..... ran the Jackson, TN marathon in 3 hours 32 min!
More later Marathon On!!!
